Feedback and Recommendations Received

Michael Amoore - Polo manager of The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club

Letter of recommendation - To whom it may concern,

Mr. P. A. Wherrett, or 'Uncle Pete' as his customers affectionately know him, has been associated with The Berkshire Polo Club Members for the shoeing of their polo ponies ever since the start of 'The Berkshire' in 1986.

During that time he has been nothing other than highly professional and skilled at his job; that of a top class Farrier. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to any potential client.

Errol Gloyn - NZ poloX team coach, Ex NZ player, NZ champion cutting horse rider, Polo player & yard manager, Horse trainer & breeder.

I have been associated with Pete Wherrett for 15yrs.

As I'm very particular in how my horses are shod, not only has 'Uncle Pete' demonstrated his skill on that score, but I'm also impressed by his all-round knowledge, management, care & handling of horses.

He has a true love for horses.

Andrew Hine - England Polo captain for many years

'Uncle Pete' has shod my polo ponies for many years, 20 or so. I have found him to do an excellent job especially in regard to the care of the ponies, and any foot problems that require corrective shoeing or attention!

Peter Wright - 4 goal polo player and top polo Umpire

Pete Wherrett has been the registered farrier for my horses for 15 years.

As a professional myself in the equine industry, it is vital that the people involved in the care and upkeep of my horses are equally professional.

In the case of the farrier this is fundamental.

Pete Wherrett has a dedication to his work that cannot be doubted. His knowledge of his industry is without question and he has resolved a number of problems with my horses that have confounded veterinarians as well as others in my specialized environment.

Pete is also a horseman himself, so understands that not all horses are the same. He gives each horse the attention it deserves, quite often under difficult circumstances.

Farriery is a physically demanding business, and the fact that Pete is still in demand is a testament to both his skill and determination.

I hope this is of some help and feel free to contact me in relation to Pete.
